Withstand!

Father.

We see the signs of the times.

We see people walking in darkness.

We see people walking in fear.

We see people with no knowledge or understanding of what is happening in our world.

We see people who know but just don’t care.

We ask, O Merciful One, that you would WAKE THEM UP!

Come! O Holy Spirit! Pour out your anointing oil upon us. Come and dwell among us and give us eyes to see You and ears to hear Your Voice. Give us wisdom, knowledge and understanding. Give us what we need to discern the truth and to discern the evil in these perilous times.

So we comfort one another with Your Word when our hearts would break over the deception, the fear and the cowardice that pervades the people of the earth and even your church.

“But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night.

“For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape.

“But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness.

“Therefore LET US NOT SLEEP, as others do, but let us watch and be sober. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night.

“But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation.

“For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him.

“Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.”

I Thessalonians‬ ‭5:1-11‬

O Holy Spirit! Shine your light of truth. Help us through these perilous times. Give us the strength to stand strong. Give us endurance and perseverance.

“We [earnestly] urge you, believers, admonish those who are out of line [the undisciplined, the unruly, the disorderly], encourage the timid [who lack spiritual courage], help the [spiritually] weak, be very patient with everyone [always controlling your temper].”

1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5:14‬

Father. Thank you for your Word of admonishment and encouragement. Through your Word in Ephesians 6 - You have given us further instruction on our JOB DUTIES in these perilous times. You have told us what to do!

You Said! WITHSTAND THE EVIL AND STAND!

You Said! Stand and put on the whole Armor of God!

You Said! Stand and gird your loins with TRUTH!

You Said! Stand and shod your feet with the gospel of peace!

You Said! Stand and pickup your shield and thwart the fiery darts of the enemy!

You Said! Stand and put on your salvation helmet and pickup the Sword of the Spirit which is the WORD OF GOD!

You Said! STAND. PRAY. WATCH. And do so until the end!

So we stand in faith believing what You Said since You have given us what we need to do what You Said!

Therefore!

We will rejoice evermore!

We will pray without ceasing.

We will give thanks in all things.

We will not quench the flow of the Spirit.

We will not despise prophecies.

We will test all things.

We will hold fast to what is good.

We will abstain from EVERY FORM of evil.

O Hallelujah!

We have set ourselves against the evil. We have set ourselves to resist the evil and stand for the good. We have set ourselves to oppose every devious trick and lie of the enemy. We have set ourselves to heed the Word of God and to serve the LORD with thanksgiving and bow to no other!

We. Will. Withstand!

In Jesus name. So be it!
