It’s hard to find the words. Maybe because there are way too many to describe what happened Thursday night. It was and remains a sad day for our Nation.
America desperately needs prayer. We need more than politicians to save us. We need mercy. We need forgiveness. Only God can save us. We need Jesus.
President Biden desperately needs prayer. He needs healing. He needs help. He needs to step down. He needs Jesus.
President Trump desperately needs prayer. He needs protection. He needs wisdom, knowledge and understanding. He needs Jesus.
We ALL desperately need Jesus. O How We Need Jesus!
That’s my take. … we need Jesus. Only He can save us. Our enemies are drooling over the display of utter weakness and ineptness of this current President.
Only God can help us, save us and protect us in this spiritual battle for the soul of America.
God is not a Republican or a Democrat. He doesn’t need either.
God is Holy. God is Sovereign. God is going to have His will and His way in the earth and nothing can stop it.
His Word stands eternal and true and tells us the end of the story. It is His Story.
Even though times are desperate and perilous. Even though the enemy is still seeking to destroy. We can rest with the words of Jesus: “Let not your hearts be troubled.”
Let’s pray…
O Father.
We need You. Just You. No one else will do. We need You more than breath. More than life. More than anything.
We cry out like the Children of Israel in Nehemiah. We are in need of your great mercy. Even though our sins are many. You can wash them away if we would only repent.
“Now on the twenty-fourth day of this month the children of Israel were assembled with fasting, in sackcloth, and with dust on their heads.
Then those of Israelite lineage separated themselves from all foreigners; and they stood and confessed their sins and the iniquities of their fathers.”
Nehemiah 9:1-2
So we stand in sackcloth and ashes and repent to you once again. Heal our land and bring salvation to the lost. Save this lost generation and the one before and the one after.
“Nevertheless in Your great mercy You did not utterly consume them nor forsake them; For You are God, gracious and merciful.
“Now therefore, our God, The great, the mighty, and awesome God, Who keeps covenant and mercy: Do not let all the trouble seem small before You That has come upon us, Our kings and our princes, Our priests and our prophets, Our fathers and on all Your people, From the days of the kings of Assyria until this day.
However You are just in all that has befallen us; For You have dealt faithfully, But we have done wickedly.”
Nehemiah 9:31-33
O Just and Faithful Father!
We all need you. From the youngest to the oldest. We confess our sins and those of our fathers. Save us from ourselves!
