Father.

You tell us there is a time and a purpose.

“For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven. A time to be born and a time to die. A time to plant and a time to harvest. A time to kill and a time to heal. A time to tear down and a time to build up.

A time to cry and a time to laugh. A time to grieve and a time to dance. A time to scatter stones and a time to gather stones. A time to embrace and a time to turn away. A time to search and a time to quit searching. A time to keep and a time to throw away.

A time to tear and a time to mend. A time to be quiet and a time to speak. A time to love and a time to hate. A time for war and a time for peace.” Ecclesiastes‬ ‭3:1-8‬

So we come to you with what seems like seasons of times all smashed together in a year. It feels like we have lived lifetimes in 2020. We have heard much. We have seen much. We have had many things revealed and exposed to us. We have had things hidden and kept from us. Some of those we trusted have failed us miserably. Some we trusted have been stalwarts of faith and hope.

So Lord. Keep our hearts and keep our minds. Keep us in perfect peace during this perfect storm that has been unleashed on America. You will keep us in that perfect peace if we keep our hearts and minds settled on you. We establish ourselves in you. We settle into your Word. We set our hearts and minds on you knowing you are able to accomplish everything that needs to be accomplished. Knowing that you are well able to handle what needs to be handled.

“In that day, everyone in the land of Judah will sing this song: Our city is strong! We are surrounded by the walls of God’s salvation. Open the gates to all who are righteous; allow the faithful to enter. You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you! Trust in the Lord always, for the Lord GOD is the eternal Rock.”

Isaiah‬ ‭26:1-4‬

O Gracious Lord. We fix our thoughts on you this evening. Send us peace and protection. Send our President peace, protection and strength. Protect the legal teams. Protect witnesses and whistle blowers. Protect evidence. Supernatural protection surround our government agencies from further foreign cyber attacks. We call forth the Hosts of Heaven to protect our homeland. Protect the Patriots and the prayer warriors. Protect families, communities and churches. Protect our Constitution and our freedoms.

O Lord! All that we have is from you. All that we have accomplished is from you. You alone are the one we worship. You have made our nation great. Oh yes! You have made us great. We give you the glory and the praise for America. We return to you. We run to you. We hide ourselves in you. We will be your people and you will be our God.
