We declare the Word of the Lord on this Christmas Eve. A time of travel to a tiny town called Bethlehem for the birth of a tiny baby that would forever change the world. Oh what a day! A time of rejoicing. A time of celebration. A time of great hope. A time of shepherds on the hillside and the angels singing FEAR NOT! O Hallelujah. Fear not and don’t be afraid. A child has been born! Oh what a child!
We declare the GLORY OF THE LORD from sea to shining sea. We declare GLORY over the White House, our President and his family. GLORY over the Vice President and his family. We declare the GLORY OF THE LORD over every household in the cities, the country, the prairies, the mountains and the deserts. Let the GLORY OF THE LORD rise among us. Let it rise!
“Nevertheless, that time of darkness and despair will not go on forever. The land of Zebulun and Naphtali will be humbled, but there will be a time in the future when Galilee of the Gentiles, which lies along the road that runs between the Jordan and the sea, will be filled with GLORY.
“The people who walk in darkness will see a great light. For those who live in a land of deep darkness, a light will shine. You will enlarge the nation of Israel, and its people will rejoice. They will rejoice before you as people rejoice at the harvest and like warriors dividing the plunder.
“For you will BREAK the yoke of their slavery and LIFT the heavy burden from their shoulders. You will break the oppressor’s rod, just as you did when you destroyed the army of Midian. The boots of the warrior and the uniforms bloodstained by war will all be burned. They will be fuel for the fire.
“For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. His government and its peace will never end. He will rule with fairness and justice from the throne of his ancestor David for all eternity. The passionate commitment of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies will make this happen!”
Isaiah 9:1-7
Thank you Father for your gift this Christmas. Thank you Jesus for your Sacrifice. Thank you Holy Spirit for dwelling among us.
Almighty God. Lord of the Heaven’s Armies. We call out to you, Yahweh! Come and break the rod of our oppressors. Break the rod of oppression! Break the road of oppression! Break the rod of oppression and destroy their armies. Plunder our enemies from within and without. Lift this burden from our shoulders. Break this yoke of slavery they are attempting to wrap around America. Break it! In the name of Jesus.
Come oh come! Emmanuel. Come to us. Abide with us. Dwell with us. Dwell in us. All across America and the Nations of the earth. Come oh come! Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God and Prince of Peace. Be our hope and be our help this Christmas.
In Jesus name. Amen.
