Father.
We know.
“But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come:
“For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
“unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
“having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!”
II Timothy 3:1-5
We know and see it all around us. God help us! We cry out to You! God help us through these brutal and perilous times.
God help and comfort the parents who have lost children.
God help and comfort the children who have lost parents.
God help and comfort our families and communities.
God help and comfort our schools and churches.
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort,
“who comforts us in all our affliction,
“so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.”
2 Corinthians 1:3-5
O Holy Father! You are full of mercy. You are full of grace. You are full of compassion. We ask you to protect us from the evil one who is prowling the earth seeking to destroy.
Send the Host of Heaven to surround us and our loved ones. Send your comforting Spirit to those in mourning. We mourn with them.
You said.
“Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.”
Romans 12:15
We bind ourselves together as your church and we resist the devil. We resist the lies and deception of the destroyer. We stand on Your Word of truth and we will continue to stand.
We will not be dismayed.
We will not be distraught.
We will not be distracted.
We will stand firm on Your Word while the earth reels under the shock waves and attacks of the enemy. We will not be moved!
We will focus on You and You alone. You will stand with us. You will remain faithful. You will strengthen us. You will deliver us. You will preserve us.
We declare like Paul!
“And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work and preserve me for His heavenly kingdom. To Him be glory forever and ever. Amen!”
II Timothy 4:18
So be it. In Jesus name.
Amen.
